Why don't we see it through the whole season? (Okay, maybe they left it with a neighbor when they were in Zookia, but still! That could have opened up so many plotlines if they brought it!)

Happy Whoville Wednesday!

Since I didn't end up having Schmitz Sunday this week, I made the decision to check on all of my Whoville families... starting with two new characters!

These are Edward and Annie Kolby, named after Eddie Korbich and Ann Harada respectively. I created them so that they could adopt Ned, Gus and Guy- and now the game acknowledges those three as brothers (and by extension, their children as cousins)!

Here's Annie with her sons at a house party. (Guy is behind Ned, in case you're wondering.)

And I just had to have Ned visit his new niece- and JoJo tag along to see his new cousin for the first time.

E.B. now has her Pandog! I named him Norval, after the fish in You're Only Old Once. And his doggie bed is a green egg!

But I'm sure you've been waiting to see someone...

Here's Piper after I aged her up! And yes- she aged up with black hair like her father. I gave her the light blue outfit to match the bow on her head.

Piper's family loves her through and through. Here's Hannah teaching her to lift her head via tummy time.

Here's two shots of Gus giving her a bath late at night. (One disadvantage of the bath/shower combo is it doesn't serve for good photos of baby baths.) But don't let the screen's filter fool you- Piper enjoyed her first bath very much (and actually got two milestones from it- "First Bath" and "First Bubble Bath"- due to it being a bubble bath!)

Herbie autonomously told his sister a bedtime story. I didn't even know Sims could do that!

In the morning, Gus fed his daughter and taught her to roll over on her back via tummy time.

And I felt this post would be best closed off with this image of Gus holding Piper as she rests in his arms. He's come so far from being the stern commander we see in the show to the loving, honest father we now see here.

(Excuse the orange thing on top of the image. That's just the edge of the plumbob.)

All in all... my birthday is this Saturday, and I'm so excited!

Happy Easter and Schmitz Sunday!!

That's right- Schmitz Sunday is back! To make up for the fact that there was no Schmitz Sunday last week, I'll be going over two (in-universe) days for this post!

Day 1:

Hannah: "Hey, Gus, every time we kiss, I feel a little kick!" :)

Hannah decided to get a sandwich from the food stand in the town square before the baby shower. (Hi, L. Faba!)

Hannah's working-from-home task was restoring newness on an object (in this case, the upstairs toilet)...

And Gus's was to practice sparring on the training bot! (Don't worry, he hasn't gone back to his old warring ways- I decided that in-universe, he now just does it to stay fit!)

The baby shower began, and who should arrive first but Gus's old friend the Grinch!

Gus made some nice liver stew for everyone. (Okay, in-game it was really camper's stew, but I'm gonna pretend it was liver stew, because this is Genghis "Gus" Kahn Schmitz we're talking about.)

Check out how many Seussian friends came to the baby shower! Jane Kangaroo, the Grinch, the Cat in the Hat, Michellee, Mayor McDodd, and E.B. are all visible in this shot (as well as- of course- Gus and Hannah).

Gus autonomously saluted Jane to greet her! I always liked the idea of the two of them getting along as friends, especially in the Seussical-verse.

The baby shower was a success! Not only did all the guests get happy sentiments from it, but the family received this adorable bassinet as a prize!

After the parents went to bed, Herbie and Cogs stayed up a little late. Here's the former doing his homework and the latter cleaning himself (though it kinda looks like he's saluting, too!).

Herbie played with Cogs a bit before the two of them went to bed.

Now: Day 2! Even though it was technically fall in-game, I made the decision for the whole family to have an Easter egg hunt!

And did they find them here and there? Yes, they found them everywhere!

Here's the entire egg collection- with a cameo from Gus's medals, a handmade card from JoJo, and a reward portrait from a gold-level date.

Hannah was too tired to make dinner, so Gus enjoyed a little of the leftover stew from the baby shower, while Herbie had a few grapes.

And, after Hannah rested a little... the big moment came!

Gus rushed her to the hospital, and while he was there, he autonomously cleaned one of the sinks. That was nice of him.

I've always love the look of this machine that they use when Sims give birth at the hospital. It oddly fits the Seussian aesthetic.

They had an adorable little girl! I named her Piper, because I think the musical meaning of the name reflects Gus's new appreciation for creativity quite well.

Herbie wasn't too happy to meet his little sister at first...

But he quickly grew to love her! Here he is blowing her a kiss.

This was a longer post than usual, I'm aware, but I had fun playing through it and assembling it, and I hope you had fun reading it.

Just actually started watching Green Eggs and Ham on Netflix for the first time! And let me tell you, I'm already loving it. Especially E.B. Something tells me she'd get along really well with JoJo. The bit where she's sitting on the roof of the train with Sam just reminds me so much of Horton and JoJo chatting in the middle of "Alone in the Universe".

Character Ask: E.B. Weebie

Not suggested by anyone, but I love her, so I'm going to do it with her! (I haven't seen too much of the second season, so feel free to correct me if I get anything about it wrong.)

Favorite thing about them: Her constant cheer and excitement for life, and also how she adores the Chickeraffe just as much as Sam.

Least favorite thing about them: The way she lashes out at Guy during the sleepover in the game of truth or dare. But even though it was unnecessary, I can see why she did it. See "Unpopular opinion" for more info.

Three things I have in common with them:

I try to find the fun in things whenever I can.

I have gone on long road trips with my family multiple times.

My excitement can get out of control sometimes.

Three things I don’t have in common with them:

I'm not a small, furry creature.

I would probably not enjoy taking care of a chicken-giraffe hybrid, given how my own family's chickens are often aggressive to me.

My father is still alive.

Favorite line: "Man, it feels good to be untucked for once. My mom is totally gonna detect whimsy, but I don't care."

brOTP: Her mother Michellee, Sam, Guy, Mr. Jenkins, and her little half-brother Guy Junior. And in my extended Seussiverse, the other Who kids, especially JoJo, Herbie and Cindy Lou, and (Ex-)General Schmitz when she starts to attend his creativity camp.

OTP: Looka. Right now, their relationship is, in my view, just a really close friendship supported by a crush, but they'll make it official when they get older.

nOTP: Any adult.

Random Headcanon: While she is mostly a vegetarian, she can't help but sneak bites of Camp Director Schmitz's many liver dishes whenever he's not looking. They are just that good.

Unpopular Opinion: Her anger at Guy during the truth or dare game is honestly understandable, even though it was uncalled for. Multiple children don't get along with their step-parents at first, and Guy literally got poor Looka locked up. Besides, she is young, and young people tend to let their anger out that way. I think she did eventually make up to Guy, and I'm sure she'll grow to love her half-brother.
