Chicago rapper E.C. Illa (also known as E.C. & WhiteFolks) honed his skills by battling in and around the Windy City with his clique 'The Ill State Assassins', a rap and production group that spawned several successful artists such as Twista, The Legendary Traxster, and others. After a slew of Ep's and guest spots on other projects, E.C. finally drop his debut solo effort, 'The E.C. Illa LP' in 1996, with a style and sound more Old School East Coast than Left Coast.
