➸ — A tilt of a head, his entire posture hunches - any quills of his body raising in pure confusion. The time he has lived and the years he had wandered across the space and visited the planet of oomans. Despite the distance and seemingly no connection between the two, the species shared many things in common. Not only upright posture, five digits and body type. Social storytellers, experiencing superstition, sharing stories of supernatural powers unknown to man. Not once, he had witnessed a yautja or a human to walk and make wooden doors swing open and close all so controlled. Without touch or contraption to move them. Perhaps, it was intuition - this was beyond the known - and to the hunter, it felt somewhat threatening.

‘  CHILD--  ‘  the  word  is  warm,  welcome,  affectionate--things  erik  had  rarely  ever  proclaimed  himself  to  be.  he  crouches,  ever  so  gingerly  tinkering  with  the  transformer  figurine  on  the  floor.  it  moves,  standing  upright,  an  arm  pumping  as  if  in  victory.  when  erik’s  hand  falls,  so  does  the  toy,  collapsing  straight  over  upon  release.    ‘  its  me.  i..  something  happened.  ‘

▬ There was a moment of silence between them, before Ethan crossed to room to join her on the couch. It had been a long day already, with the clock already singing its three AM tune. A soft but overexaggerated sigh left him, as he rested into the soft cushions, “ Looks like you’re stuck with me as company then. “ He offered the girl a playful smile, before offering a hand. Just to hold it, as a little comfort in the overly bright room, “ Would you like to watch a movie? I can make some popcorn. “

His stare is as blank and dismissive as ever.

"Did you now? Most curious. I feel quite alive, as much as ever. But, ah, such is how Gods are. We're not constrained like you mortals can be. Life, death, all feels mostly the same."

"Are you one of Megatron's toys? He does adore organics. Must be why you're not in a pen. I'll have to speak with him on that; I have no interest in dirtying my pedes on an organic."

"You!" she exclaimed in shock. This was impossible. She /killed/ that green bully. Both El and Megatron even burnt the head and arms she'd taken from his body.

"Hm?"

He turns around at that sharply worded, very impolite hello. It takes him a moment to find the creature who uttered it, glancing up and around until--

He looks down.

Oh.

"Hm. Another organic pet. Who do you belong to, little thing? Someone taught you very poor manners and I ought to have a word with them."

▬ Ethan moved carefully as he stepped back into the dinning room, a warm bowl of soup resting in his cupped hands. Upon entering he offered a soft smile to the child, who was now seated at the large table, “ Careful, its hot. “ The man warned, before sitting the bowl before her, “ and-- “ He reach for his pocket, pulling out a small spoon for her to see, “ For you. Eat as much as you’d like. “ 

Another smile was offered, as he sat across from her. Carful to not get to close, as to not intervene in the child’s own personal bubble. By the looks of the dirtied medical gown, she’d already been through enough. He thinks he could understand that, “ So … I won’t make you talk, only if it’s okay with you. Yeah? “

Those damn crosses, why do people kept hanging them on their walls? when would this practice stop? didn’t they know how insulting it was? Nandor covered his face with his cape as he hissed, and quickly turned around in order not to look at it. “I’m not scared of it, It’s... It’s something else.” How to explain this to her? “Can’t you take it down and hide it?”

birthday — this should be an easy one, right? why, then, is he distracted, gaze drawn to his watch. as if he is forgetting something. something important. what day is it?

       ❝ uh... birthday is, y’know, the day you were born. the day your – ❞   jim cuts himself off just short of going into a conversation that would definitely lead to something akin to the birds and the bees. yeah, he’s not ready for that. not yet. so he blinks, looking over at el with a furrowed brow because the calendar on the wall is still from ‘82 seeing as he couldn’t be assed to buy himself a new one the last couple years and he still feels like he’s missing something. there’s gotta be a paper around with the date, though, he knows he brought one home yesterday, with the rest of his mail.   ❝ the day you get to celebrate being around another year. like mine is april nineteenth, so my birthday this year’ll make me... ❞   huh, forty-three. is that right? shit, that snuck up on him.   ❝ well, it’ll make me a year older. ❞   he shakes his head in an attempt to quit dwelling,    ❝ you get invited to someone’s party? ❞
