“Wow,” Phoenix breathed as she crested the hill and saw the lights decorating the shelter on the bluff. She had heard about this shindig from a couple of sources and was planning on meeting up with some friends. She had arrived fairly early, but it didn’t really feel like that with a deep chill already setting in and the sun already being down--it was the shortest day of the year. However, once she reached the party, she instantly felt warmer. Wow, the bonfire sure was doing a good job.
After grabbing a nice cup of hot chocolate, Phoenix started making her rounds to see who was there. Soon, she wandered over towards the fire. Seeing a spot open on a log, she asked the person sitting next to the spot, “Hey, do you mind if I sit here and share the warmth of the fire? Also, have you seen any marshmallows around? What’s the point of a bonfire without s’mores?”
