☆s : Halsey; Is There Somewhere
Send me a ‘★d’ or ‘★s’ and I’ll write write a drabble/starter about our characters …
the promise, that jisoo mentally made, was to never act as if they were anything more than acquaintances, that if they see each other out there, anywhere, they wave, smile and it ends there.
turns out, jisoo was horrible at promises himself.
he should have called foul, shouldn’t have agreed when he was offered to be brought to a place, he usually wouldn’t, and he would have put in rational thoughts, like he always does, reject the offer and return to his accommodation for a good nap. he shouldn’t have agreed to going for some nightwalk of sorts and to end up in such an open location, lying in an open field while gazing at stars.
they were just acquaintances, seungcheol and him, were just a rank above strangers.
acquaintances, he reminds himself, through his eye-lids fluttering shut as he leaned a tad bit too close, his fingers finding its way to the other boy’s, small nudges, perhaps hinting to intertwine them. and he’s too tired to hear his mind protest, wrong, wrong wrong wrong, this is wrong, they’re acquaintances. they don’t know each other outside of the other’s name and visuals, jisoo doesn’t even know his favourite food, his rank numbers, his age. he shouldn’t commit to someone he barely knew, he shouldn’t take this risk.
but maybe, just for tonight, just for this spot, he could let loose, bury his head and forget. what people don’t know can’t hurt him. he could take in a whiff of seungcheol’s scent and forget those numbers. just for tonight.
