The top 5 best CG’s of....?
I know it's been awhile but I really want to get this posted by the end of this month in time to say good bye to lovestruck.
Enough about that sad piece of news onto the countdown.
This count is about Arin langdon! Yes! I finished there route last month and I find this list the most diffcult to make because theirs just so little to choose from and I feel robbed that we didn't get to see there story progress. Espeically since it ended on a cliff hanger. Not to mentain the completed story summary we got on the lovestruck website which is GONE!
Deep breaths...Deep breaths...
Arin's route was announced back last year along with Laviana. I was happy to see that Arin was getting a route. They did intrudge me when they appeared in other routes I'd played, definately one of my favourite routes from series. Arin holds much intellience and kindness that it makes my heart melt. There decidation to there role as the guardian's apprentice and as a partner for MC is just so sweet and the friends to lovers trope was done so well! I think one of the best.
Let's start this list with something a little cozy why don't you?
Something to help relax the senses with a good warm beverage! ☕
This is a relatively simple CG, I mean we get a few pictures of the love interest holding an object while looking at something far away. Sometimes we get a full body CG or half of it.
The difference is the context!
This is the CG where MC realizes there feelings for Arin. The build up of feelings comes rushing forward to us and that more cements it's place on the list.
Sometimes it's the quiet moments that hold the most impact.
I like the way the use of color and space is used for this CG. Most CG's have too much open spaces and not enough movement and sometimes it falls flat when you need the characters to make dyanmic poses. I know because I struggle with drawing characters in motion. It often makes people feel stiff and unnatural when you look at them for too long.
This is the opposite you have MC and Arin running away from a scary force. You don't see it but you only have a silhoette of it's claws in the CG. The use of light and the way the CG twists at just the right angel is what makes this CG so good. There's a reason why this CG was the first to be shown!
So...why is it at the bottom?
Well, because it is good but not finally 3 good that spot goes too...
THIS KISS! Is what we we're waiting for!! This is how I felt:
I was worried that we we're never going to get a kiss CG. I was wrong!
This CG is just so sweet and romantic. Arin taking that next step into there relationship is just...*dies in feels*
The buildup and the pay off is just so sweet to see. The butterflies and the light that surrounds them can be a physical metaphor for what they feel right now in this moment.
Butterflies being excitement. (E.g so nervous that you have butterflies in your stomach.)
The light and the dizzy effects being what a person feels like when they kiss someone that they care about.
The relief in both of there faces when they kiss, like there saying to each other, "Finally!"
The way they both want to get closer to one another hands wandering and clutching one another. (I see where your hand is Arin...😏)
It's all just so sweet! It releases the inner hopeless romantic in me.
I do want more CG's like this, but I can die happy knowing that it happened.
This CG is just so pretty, while number 4 had light and action, this has night and yearning. Kind of reminds me of another list *Flashbacks to Top 5 CG's of Lucas charming*
No! This is just for Arin! Lucas had his moment to shine.
This CG was when MC was having questions about Arin and her headaches coming back. She just wants answers. Which is something I think everyone can relate too in MC shoes. She goes to Arin in hopes she can get them but she can't.
It doesn't that Arin doesn't want to tell her. Just look at the CG both of them are looking at each for closure, for guidance. It isn't that Arin doesn't want to tell her, Arin's face holds conflict but they do want to be there to help. Look at how there hands gently reaches out for MC trying to reciprocate some sort of trust that they can't in words. MC leaning towards them for safety and looking at that as if there the stars tk to her moon.
How they are both seated on the stairs offers great shadows and angles. The lantern at the bottom showing there shoes which is a cute point that @pocketinmyjacket brought up! It's not that often that CG's display the entire character model but here we have 2 which is good for people trying to draw them.
And now the number 1 best CG of Arin's route is...!

The flowers, the setting, Arin looking as beauiftul as ever!
This is taking place during the trails to become the guardian apprentice and Arin is challenged by an old friend turned enemy. Arin had already lost the first challenge and they are very stressed since there defeat and the fact that the three trails could be anything.
So MC wants Arin to calm down and does in this beautiful scene. I like that Arin has there own grotto to help relax themselves in and the fact that Arin shares this with MC is so sweet.
They both need a calm moment in this crazy storm.
