Ok I caved and bought Stories Untold for the Astrid of it all here's the blumendrei facts I would like to share with the gathered crowd
Astrid and Wulf visited Bren in Vergesson, kept his room clean, brought him clean clothes and food.
Astrid kept visiting him up until about two years before he escaped. Wulf stopped after only a year because "I do not wish to remember him like this" and said "He isn’t Bren anymore"
Astrid feels briefly envious of him because "at least he had no more pain to face."
Astrid secretly hired a doctor with her own money to try and help him, a few months after he broke when they were still teenagers
Astrid and Wulf both know Teleport, a seventh level spell, indicating they're a lot more powerful than people have assumed based off their brief combat appearance. And this is set around 5 years pre campaign.
Astrid teases Wulf for his newfound faith, telling him "You’re a man of the cloth now; that would be beneath you"
When she makes a joke about the afterlife Wulf says "We’ll probably be haunting each other. Together even after the end"
Astrid is charmed and sees what she calls her worst memory, which is the moment Bren broke and burned her (notably, not the moment she killed her own parents, or anything else that's happened in the 11 years since)
Wulf tells Astrid "I know you’re not okay. You joke far too much when you’re trying to distract me from something else."
They both occasionally visit Blumenthal, which Trent expresses displeasure with.
Astrid refers to her scar as "the last caress Bren had given her". She prefers not to cover up the scar as a reminder to herself, but Trent encourages her to hide it.
Astrid says she trusts Wulf to watch her back, which is "very different from trusting Wulf". She thinks they're different from how they were, "her previous passion for him temperate and muted and safer". Somehow still inconclusive on the "are they a couple" front.
