not done watching the ep yet but i am so proud (slash parasocial) of mr charlie slimecicle for putting his mental health first and choosing to put his passion projects first, like i wish i had that amount of self control. the sammy won't be the same without the meat, but different doesn't mean worse
guys guys guys i was looking through old family photos from 1973 and omg
this is c!tommy.
damn past eagle you kinda made some good points sometimes, this is also from early february (disclaimer that I haven't kept up with puffy lore much recently but given the way the story is going rn I think this is interesting)
On a meta level, something I'm worried about with wilbur returning as (presumably) the head writer is that the stories that focus more on individual people and their relationships will be disregarded/given less screen time bc of Wilbur's tendencies to focus on conflicts between nations
like this is something that wilbur was talking about on phil's stream a few weeks back that stuck with me, how he wasn't a super big fan of all the stuff that was going on with focusing on individual characters because he enjoyed stories about countries and wars more
i think he's smart enough to realize that fans don't just want l'manburg 2, but i'm also worried because of the hints he's given that revivedbur would want a l'manburg 2
however i think that this more meta/narrative clash could actually be worked into the story really well- c!wilbur hasn't been around to see how people have moved past nations and wars and have decided to focus more on friendships and communities
i think that an amazing narrative foil to revivedbur would be puffy
because in so many ways, they are opposite
puffy was one of eret's knights. wilbur never trusted eret after their betrayal.
puffy recognizes the cycle of violence and wants to help people escape it. wilbur allowed himself to get crushed by it.
puffy recognizes that people like tommy and tubbo (and hopefully ranboo, niki, and jack) are/were children. wilbur made those children soldiers and spies.
puffy is amazingly empathetic, to a level pretty much unprecedented by those who entered the server at a similar time to her. she recognizes how important l'manburg was to the people who lived there, not because it was a government, but because it was a home.

thinking about many things
shrub fleeing "another world" because of corruption... the spirit saying it killed all her people... how the corruption on empires looks like bloodvines... i'm not saying that the spirit haunting empires is related to the egg from the dsmp, because logically I know they're different universes...but my little heart hopes
