✈️ F-15EX Eagle II & MQ-28 Ghost Bat: The Future of Air Combat Is Here

The future of aerial warfare took another major step forward during Valiant Shield 2026 as the F-15EX Eagle II successfully flew alongside the MQ-28 Ghost Bat autonomous combat aircraft.

This manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) concept allows the F-15EX to work with AI-enabled "loyal wingman" drones capable of extending sensor range, carrying additional weapons, conducting reconnaissance, and protecting the crewed fighter in high-threat environments.

The exercise demonstrated how next-generation air combat will rely on seamless cooperation between pilots and autonomous aircraft, increasing combat effectiveness while reducing risk to human crews.

As air forces around the world invest in sixth-generation capabilities, the partnership between the F-15EX and MQ-28 Ghost Bat offers an exciting glimpse into the future of modern air power.
