A SNIPPET for the next episode of Brooke’s lil series today!! (bc i promise I’ve been writing, have just been on vacation the past week) ft. Grim still not having a filter

“Hi, Brooke and Grim,” said Dexter from behind an armful of foreign mirrortech contraptions. “Whoa, watch your crown, Humphrey.”

“You sure you don’t need my help, little bro?”

Brooke’s grip on Grim tightened, making him yelp. From behind Dexter stepped a tall, broad-shouldered boy with wind-swept hair so blond it was almost white. His face could have been torn from a storybook magazine—in fact, she’d seen it on the cover of more than one Vanity Fairy issue in the Pomefiore dorm lounge.

“I think I’m good,” Dexter muttered as he wobbled toward the pedestal.

“Wow,” said Grim way too loudly, “you’d never guess at first glance they’re related.”

“Grim!” Brooke angled a glare at him. “Please!”

“What? I’m just saying it as it is!”

Would be funny if Deuce becomes the third wheel once they started dating? XD

Honestly, love how the narrators is trying to make Ace confess. He should be glad they aren't Brooke's parents since I can tell they wouldn't like him that they would likely change the scenes to prevent them from dating. (Think of when Brooke changes the scene for Bunny to kiss Alistair but the opposite)

it isn’t that the Narrator of Brooke’s series has any agenda—they’re quite indifferent to whatever’s going on to be honest—but that Ace hasn’t learned to block them out and so has a hard time trying to have a conversation with. well. anyone when Brooke’s around. it’s made worse by the fact that the Narrator only appears in scenes relevant to the story, which obviously the characters in-story wouldn’t be able to recognize, meaning he never knows when the voice will show up (very meta i know… it’s fun lol). his main priority over the summer is figuring out how to properly tune the Narrators out—especially since there’s another one responsible for the main TEA story 😬

yeah… Brooke’s parents wouldn’t have been allowed to narrate her story anyway 😅 it’s still someone in her family, but probably an extended relative as it can’t be anyone too close to her (for fear of their being tempted to abuse their powers). there are very strict rules on this sort of thing

Is anyone aware of the crush between Ace and Brooke? I picture Grimm and Deuce aren't aware with Grimm not familiar or not caring with the romantic feelings and Deuce being dense about it.

umm at this point it is hard to say. i’m not sure even Brooke is aware lol. imagine if Ace was gearing up to confess over the summer but then the Narrators hit him and now he has to play the “will they start reading her mind to me today” game every day lol

Deuce is dense ofc, but i imagine he can tell something’s off with those two just not sure what 😭 Grim has no concept of romance

Oh I love to see a ball in your au. It would be nice to see them in beautiful outfits and dancing.

I can see a ball Queen and king vote. Since the girls are all from EAH, it will likely any of them to be the queen. Although would be funny if Brooke ended up being voted the queen of the ball (most of the votes came from NRC and they know things would have been a disaster without her). As for king, I can see Daring having competition with beautiful and handsome contestants from NRC like Vil, Silver, Leona, and Jamil. It will be hilarious if Idia being part of the competition unwillingly (probably because of Cupid) and got voted as the king which will be Ghost Bride over again.

Would it be funny for TEA kids be each other's date? XD Like I am sure Silver, Jamil, Briar, and Holly wouldn't mind even if they don't have romantic attracted (or is it?), but Jade and Darling would be a problem like Jade smiling happily while Darling looks annoyed. I am sure Jade might end up learning about Darling's possible romantic interest.

ooh i like the pageantry idea lmao maybe there could be a “fairest of all” contest at the end of the summer? honestly don’t know who would win! the NRC boys may be familiar with Brooke but keep in mind many of the EAH girls are royal celebrities (and also i don’t think she would run in the first place, cuz she doesn’t like having her face mirrorcast). plus only the main cast are friendly with her; NRC has a lot more students than our humble 22 boys 😭

i wonder if Vil might not participate this time around? he probably wouldn’t win against Daring, who is more the conventional handsome princely type that Ever After uplifts. and we just can’t risk another Overblot but IDIA even being in the running is just so 🤡 Cupid NO

Leona would not be remotely interested and i don’t think anyone would try to force the issue 😔 i think the highest contenders would be Daring and Silver. not bc i’m biased or anything and then i think Daring would win bc Silver doesn’t have the crowd-pleasing skillset.

the question of dates would depend on when in the story these events take place, as there are several throughout the summer. Kalim could take Holly to one of them and Jamil would have a little angsty emo edgy moment all by himself stewing over that, while also being vehemently in denial that he has any feelings for anyone at all. i have this beautiful mental image of Jade asking Silver just for him to go “sorry bro i already agreed to go with Briar” conveniently not feeling the need to add “—as friends” bc he doesn’t know if she’s romantically interested in him. he also never knew that Jade was romantically interested in him bc he’s just… really bad at that kind of thing, i think.

HOWEVER i do not think Jade would then ask Darling bc of his big fat ego 😌 soooo he either goes alone or with Jamil and they can both sulk together some other friends. maybe as Ashlynn and Hunter’s chaperone idk he can come up with anything

Darling would just go with a bunch of her friends i think 😭😭 if she were ever feeling particularly rebellious she’d go with Rook bc that would be insanely funny
