Albums of the Week! Haunt retains the top spot with their new release, which I highly recommend. Eallic was close behind with Karens, a wonderful EP you should all check out. New discoveries for me include Maul and Crimson Moon. Live album of the week was provided by Metallica. Finally, consider this a reminder that Vader is awesome.

ALBUMS OF THE WEEK! I had so many good albums on repeat here that I’m posting a bonus row and column. The winner was #IronMaiden’s Killers. @nightwalk_merch recommended Firtan - Marter to me, and I loved it (German black metal). The new drops from #Ashes and #Aethyrick are excellent (atmo BM). #Eallic’s Karens is a super fun ride (Utah DM). The #BlackSabbath album I thought I’d never like (Seventh Star) somehow earwormed its way into my rotation, and I’m upgrading it to “not half bad” (from “all bad”). Eallic - Karens (2022). Fine quality death metal from my home state of Utah. The CD is finally out in the wild after a digital only release last December. Riffs for days here, and razor sharp production. I love this album art so much.

Utah metal alert! @eallic_band_official has just dropped a fantastic EP that you need to hear. “Karens” is a fast ripper with tech death virtuosity and vocals that remind me of Immortal, Dark Funeral, and Vredehammer. I’m loving this, and am particularly happy to see my home state produce high quality stuff that doesn’t require a black name tag to share. Go give this a listen right away.
