Cut & Run Series
Character: Earl Grady
Facecast: David Morse
Earl Grady, Sticks & Stones
First appearance:
Earl was an imposing man, tall and broad-shouldered. The man made Ty look like the runt of the litter. His graying hair was cut short and neat, and he was clean-shaven and almost as devoid of wrinkles as his wife. Zane decided it must be the altitude.
Madeleine Urban, Abigail Roux. Sticks & Stones (Kindle Locations 2079-2080).
Was he your friend for all those years or...
was he your friend all those years ago?
This is thought that haunts Earl each night as he tries to fall asleep. Who were these men he called friend? Did he so grossly misjudge the men who fought beside him, the men he thought of as his family? How blind had he been in his loyalties?
Earl do you blame Zane for what happened at the wedding?
Earl: Why in the hell would I blame Zane for what happened? Nothing about what went on at that wedding was Zane’s fault.
Mara and Earl: How did you two meet?
Mara: We went to school and to church together. We’ve known each other since we was little.
Earl: I don’t remember the first time I saw her because we were so young, we known each other forever. But she was the only girl I ever held hands with, and the only girl I ever loved, so I must have been pretty smitten from the beginning.
Mara: The day he got drafted was the worst day of my life. We got married before he left, because he said if he was going to die, at least he’d die happy. He’s always been the one for me.
Ty: Gross.
Deuce: Get a room!
Mara, Earl and Chester: We know Ty managed to get a note to Zane while he was deployed the last time. Was he able to get anything to you guys as well?
Mara: We didn’t hear anything from that little shit until he got home!
Earl: Walk it off, Mara.
