As it’s time for the third annual Wits on Tap I felt like it was time to reblog the two amazing poetry remixes of my fics from previous years. This is from the very first Wits on Tap, and I was rather new to fandom (at least when it came to actually interacting), and so I was very nervous, but thrilled. And then, imagine the amazement when I got an ao3 notification saying that @iamjohnlocked4life had submitted a related work to one of my fics, and *this* breathtaking thing - formating and all - appeared. I printed it at work, and almost couldn’t contain myself from showing people this poem, with or without saying that *this* was based on something *I* had written…! The lyrical way it’s written and the way that Iamjohnlocked4life actually included a part of the lyrics of the song that I mentioned in the author’s note as inspiration to the fic… wow.

This is from last year’s Wits on Tap, and I adore this one so much, the way @unreconstructedfangirl managed to make a short and somewhat fragmented piece on ECT into something poetic and beautiful. I was so hesitant to submit this fic to the challenge due to its theme, but URF did not o only accept but did a thing of beauty that I keep coming back to!

As it’s time for the third annual Wits on Tap poetry remix challenge I’ve posted the two amazing poems I received as remixes of my own fics, but since the fics I myself got assigned to remix were such amazing (and already poetic) works, I’m posting my own remixes as well. This is the first poem I’ve ever written in English (and I hadn’t written many in Swedish either). I was lucky enough to be assigned the absolutely beautiful, saudade fic The Dance Lesson by @holmesianpose, and wow - that gave me a lot of beautiful aspects to work with. It also got me and holmesianpose talking, and eventually we met together with another dear fandom friend a few months later, and I think I have Wits on Tap to thank for that! This is a beautiful, nostalgic story - read it!
