omg thank youu. i'm still not sure how i feel about it i'm probably going to spend the rest of the year analysing my every word and action because i'm ridiculous but uh. i actually made the first move and asked him how he's been when my friends went out to have a smoke and i'm kind of proud of that

1. i’m good with animals. i love animals a lot and it makes me happy they love me back.

2. i think i’ve been a good sister. i’ve taken care of my little brother and hopefully shown him how very important he is to me.

3. i’m very empathic. i just, i care. and even though it sometimes makes things harder, i still consider it a good trait.

4. i have a vivid imagination. just like empathy, it can be both good and bad for me, but i love it and wouldn’t change it for the world. i used to dream of becoming an author, and i think i could be a good writer. at least i used to be. one of my teachers actually asked me once if i had ever considered becoming a writer, so, yeah.

5. i’m a good listener. i guess this is kind of the same thing as me being caring, i care so i listen. during my teacher practice my teaching instructor actually gave me positive feedback about this, she said i was very, ah, present in the classroom and really seemed to care about what the kids had to say.

hello milka!! i have an unstarted essay due tomorrow that's about 'online paratexts' of a 'tv screen media' and ofc i've decided to write about buffy - i was wondering if you've ever come across good fanfic for it??? no particular pairing, really. i know i could do a generic search on ao3 or whatever, but i'd rather know if there's anything particularly favoured in the fandom, that you've heard of? sorry this is so out of the blue, you'll be doing me a massive favour by answering!!

What’s your favourite Disney film and why?

THE LION KING. It was the first movie I saw in theatres and I fell in love. I love cats more than most things and so, you know, lion cubs. Simba. I mean, I pretty much love everything about the movie. I still quote it all the time. My boyfriend's really good with Lion King quotes as well, and this is obviously the basis of our relationship.

What was the last text you sent?

Ah, it was just a boring text about getting a ride to work (the school I'm teaching at).

How would you decorate your dream bedroom?

This is such a big question, oh man. I'd love to have a turquoise-coloured drawer/night stand. A bed that fits two but isn't too huge. I love these sheets they have that soft feeling I want my bedroom to be soft. Lots of books that I love. Art that I love. Music that I love. You know, not just things to fill the space but things that mean something to me? I'd like at least one wall painted some other colour than white. Maybe a shade of blue or green.

Tell me about someone you’re close to in your family?

Weeell. I have a brother, seven years younger than me. He's pretty great. I took him to New York this April and afterwards, when I asked him what his favourite part of the trip was, he told me it was visiting the local book shop.

Who are your top three ladies of TV?

Uuuuhhh. The first ones that come to my mind are Peyton Sawyer (One Tree Hill), Alana Bloom (Hannibal) and Abbie Mills (Sleepy Hollow). Hmph... I'm also going to say Leslie Knope (Parks and Recreation), Olivia Dunham (Fringe) and Rae Earl (My Mad Fat Diary).

What’s your most prized possession and why?

I... don't know? Maybe my golden retriever plushie I got when I was 6.

What was the last film you saw in the cinema/what did you think of it?

Catching Fire! I think the second book's my favourite so I'm glad this movie was better than the first one. Not that I hated the first one, this was just better. More interesting. More coherent, maybe? Beautiful cinematography. The whitewashing of the cast doesn't ruin the movie for me but it makes me sad. Just today I was thinking about the way Hollywood's watering down the message by making the cast so predominantly white and focusing on the love triangle. I'm sure President Snow would've loved that.

Do you have a fashion icon - who is it and why?

Nope.

What TV shows are on your ‘to-watch’ list?

Hahahaha. I can't even remember all of them. Shameless US, Breaking Bad, Veronica Mars, Homeland, Adventure Time, etc.

Your favourite song from your favourite band?

I'm not sure what my favourite band is (Florence + the Machine? The National? Metric? idk) but my favourite song might be Fear by Sarah Maclachlan. 

What’s the last dream you remember having?

 Honestly, I think I was planning a lesson in the last dream I can remember. Ugh.
