Throwback to Venice and Arlington, 1985. This was a daytime, solo, no permission hit. Someone called the cops and complained of a kid writing graffiti. When LAPD rolled on me, it was the first time they had ever seen a burner (remember, in LA 1985 there wasn’t many graff writers, maybe 100 total in the city, the cops were used to gangbangers and hood graffiti), so when the cops rolled they said that this obviously wasn’t graffiti and were quite impressed. The stayed for about 15 minutes and watched me paint before they got another call and were on their way. True story. The good old days. #LosAngeles #Graffiti #Art #Mural #LAGraffitiHistory #EarlyLAGraffiti (at Los Angeles, California)
