Rook as an Animal

Okay. I am NOT a visual artist. Like. Not even a little bit. But, @sorcerousadventurer tagged me to draw my Rook as an animal and, well... I couldn't resist. Thanks for the tag!

We all know Embria is the Capybara of Rooks.

(yes, I tried to put her hair on a capybara. Again, NOT AN ARTIST 😂😂😂).

Rookfest 2025, Meet Embria Aldwir!

This took me forever, friends, so apologies for my tardiness, but at last, here is Embria! @rookfest-eluviana

So.... I checked the rivalry box in case anyone wanted to dare try to be Embria's rival, lolol. I'm hard-pressed to imagine any Rook she wouldn't befriend!

I couldn't come up with a motto for her and so I left it blank. I am open to suggestions!

Embria is a Veil Jumper, born in Wycome's Alienage, she joined the Dalish at 18 where she blended her skills as a thief with the traditional magical training of the Keeper's Second, becoming a Spellblade.

She's renowned for her big heart, willingness to help anyone, and acting in service of others before herself. She's been dubbed "The Capybara of Rooks" due to being incredibly Friend Shaped™ even though that persistent hope can come with a cost.

I genuinely had no idea what to expect from my sweet, Capybara of Rooks, but uhhhhhh. Yeah. I think this fits.

It's a callousness she doesn't normally show. If she truly hates someone, she'd cut them off from her warmth.

What's your favourite thing about Embria's personality? What is her favourite thing about her personality?

Oh hiiiiiii! Thank you so much for dropping these lovely questions in my ask box!!

I think my favorite thing about Embria's personality is her optimism. I think so often optimism is conflated with naivete, but Embria's optimism is almost a sort of rugged determination. An insistence on hope that I find really inspiring. I love that about her (and Rooks and Veilguard!).

Her favorite thing about her own personality is a much harder question for me to answer 😂. She likes how much she cares for others, couldn't imagine being any other way. But... She knows that care comes with a toll and she isn't always good at balancing it.
