Why You Ground And Center

-To release pent up/excess energy before a ritual (or just in daily practice, as needed) -To release  overwhelming emotions -To gain energy if you’re depleted -To help yourself connect to the earth -To  balance your energy

How To Ground And Center

-Stand, sit, or lay, on the ground. Outside is preferable but honestly your carpeted floor works too (just sometimes takes longer to feel the earth). Just make sure your palms or feet are connected to the earth. -Slowly take a deep breath, hold your breath for 3 counts, and SLOWLY release. Do this three times (or as many as it takes to feel your body relax).  -You can chose to light incense or put on relaxing music--whatever is relaxing to you. It’s not necessary, but since music does help our moods and thoughts, it might be good to put on something positive sounding, or even nature sounds, IF you chose to use music. -To release energy: imagine your hands (or feet) growing roots into the ground,digging deep into the cool, dark earth. When you feel connected (trust me the energy feels SO good, but kinda weird because it’s not ‘yours’) push your pent up/excess energy through the roots in your hands and dripping into the earth. Don’t drain yourself! When you feel ‘calm’ STOP. If you give too much you’ll end up light headed and fuzzy! -To receive energy: Do the same as above only this time imagine the energy from the earth coming into your roots. STOP when you feel energized and ‘awake’. If you take too much you won’t be able to concentrate on your spell or ritual your about to do.  -To release overwhelming emotions: Follow the same steps as above, only instead of your energy, give your emotions to the earth if they’re too overwhelming for you (like sadness or anger). The earth may even offer a comforting energy back.  -To balance your energy: Follow the same steps as above (breathing, having your hands or feet touching the earth) only imagine your energy going down the roots from your feet/hands and then call--in your mind--the earth to you. Feel the earths energy rise up through your hands and into your body along with your own, fixing what needs fixing, balancing what needs balancing with your spirit and your actual body. Personally I lay down for this. When things feel ‘right’ let the earth energy subside -When finished with your grounding and centering, take your time to slowly open your eyes and stir your body slowly. Golden Pollen (Winx Inspired)

A binding spell to prevent another from doing actions that will emotionally harm you.

You Will Need:

🌸 Green Glitter 🌸 Gold Glitter 🌸 Vines (such as ivy or morning glory, etc) or Green Thread or Twine 🌸 Poppet

Steps:

🌸 Take the poppet of the person and if you can write their name on it somewhere or taglock it

🌸 Begin wrapping up the poppet with your vine/thread chanting “I bind you, I wrap you in vines” as you do so. Tie it tightly.

🌸 Place poppet down and fill your palm with your gold and green glitter

🌸 “I blind you, I bind you, you will not harm anyone” say this a few more times before blowing the glitter from your palm harshly onto the poppet

🌸 Take your poppet and bury it in a pot or place it in a bag and hide it away somewhere dark

🌸 To free the bound person cut the vines/threads from them and then burn the poppet or throw it away

Note: for easy clean up lay out some paper towels to catch the glitter. Any glitter that falls onto the floor or onto carpet use packing tape to easily pick it up

Spell Challenge Day 3: Grounding Stone Spell

(word inspired by: Earth)

Use this spell to turn any rock you find into a stone to aid in grounding oneself before spells, rituals and divination.

You Will Need:

Any rock you can hold in the palm of your hand

Salt

Pine Needles

Steps:

1. Take your stone and purify it using your salt. Pour the salt over your rock, letting the negative energies around it and in it to disperse. You do not wish them to be a part of your grounding. 2. Lay your pine needles atop your stone and around it. Pine is great for grounding and so it is great to charge your stone with before use. 3. Hover your hands over the rock and close your eyes, focus on feeling your energies pass through you, through your hands, into the stone and then into the earth.

“Rock I create this bond with you, So I can feel the energy of the earth, So I may connect to the soil whenever I need, Let me ground myself through you.”

4. Pick up your new grounding rock and keep it when you need grounding indoors or if you ever find difficulty in grounding yourself.

Charm of the Oak

This spell is intended as a way to connect to the deep wisdom and knowledge embodied in the oak tree. It's a more spiritual and somewhat intangible spell than most others. All you need is:

• 4 acorns

• Small bag of brown fabric

• Patchouli oil

• A brown or green candle

Best if you can collect the acorns yourself. Anoint the candle and the acorns with oil, and light the candle. While you hold the acorns in your hands, repeat the following: Sacred oak Blessed seed Growth and wisdom Mine indeed Visualize a mighty oak tree, and all the things it may have to teach you. Place the acorns in the bag, and leave it near the candle. Let the candle burn out on its own, and leave the bag somewhere where you will see it every day. Opportunities to gain new knowledge will soon present themselves.
