Camas flower in early to mid spring in the Northwest. These were growing near a stream in Woodmansee City Park in Salem, Oregon. The native flower's bulbs were used by local Native Americans for thousands of years as one of their primary food sources. They grow best in an Oak Savanna, which is what most of Oregon's Willamette Valley was prior to Europeans arrived.

I bike because I don't like paying foreign countries or soulless corporations for oil. I like to bike because it keeps me healthy and my environmental footprint much lower than riding a bus or driving a car. My quality of life is much better because I have more money to spend on other things besides car insurance, car repairs, gas, oil, maintenance, registration, parking, etc.....
