Hola! This is for the prompt ask, #32. I don't have a pairing tho.
@amarantae Ooh that means I pick, how about space?
32. In a way I can’t return
Their trip through the cosmos is their own special dance, and the earth couldn’t ask for a better dance partner than her beloved moon.
They’d been at it for what must have been eons, but it felt new every time.
I love you, the moon says every time she passes by.
I love you, she says by reflecting the sun’s light onto the places the sun couldn’t reach.
I love you, she shows by controlling the tides.
I love you, she lives every time she stops rocks and other objects from space from hitting her beloved planet.
I love you, she says a thousand times in a thousand ways, I love you I love you I love.
The earth cannot reciprocate.
She cannot glow and give the moon light. The moon has no oceans for her to keep in line. She cannot protect her beloved from danger.
All she can do is accept.
I love you I love you I love you, the moon says constantly.
I love you too, the earth feels, but can’t rely, I love you too.
