Throwback Jam Of The Week Artist: Linkin Park | @linkinpark @chesterbe Song: Easier To Run Album: Meteora Year: 2003 It pains my heart to know the tragic fate of Chester Bennington. I've been sitting in my home blasting their music and literally bawling my eyes out since I heard the news. I'm normally saddened by any news of death, but have never cried this much for someone I never knew. Linkin Park got me through some of my darkest days & Chester's voice could soothe the chaos in my soul at any given time. He was a vocal God & I was so excited to witness his greatness live in concert next month. Whenever I was feeling down about life, a little Hybrid Theory & Meteora would help carry the weight right off my shoulders, they still do. I'm absolutely heartbroken now playing back those songs and hearing the lyrics that still speak to my spirit. They feel a lot heavier now knowing that he was never able to heal his numbness. I pray that his spirit finds peace in the next life. & please remember, if you or anyone you know is suffering from depression, don't hesitate to reach out. Someone out there understands, someone will listen, someone cares. We'll be honoring his legacy by posting some of our favorite LP lyrics! __________________________________ Just washing it aside...
