Turns out this is the second time I've used that title. But meh
Talking to Grandpa on Monday, and he said Sanna and I could rig one of the old boats as a pair! Which is something we've been wanting to do for ages now, so hopefully we can try as soon as I get back from Easter tournament! Excited! Considering the pair is the only boat I haven't rowed in at some stage, it'll be awesome to finally try it out. Hopefully we don't end up swimming :)
Two more days of uni - one class and the law test today (which I'll probably fail but meh) and one class tomorrow. Then heading down to Ashburton for the Uni Rowing Champs. Despite the fact that I'm racing the LW2x with a girl I've never rowed in before (one of us is always coxing), and I still don't know what boats I'm coxing, I'm psyched. I think I'm in the eight as opposed to the quad which is super exciting as it's MY FIRST EVER SWEEP RACE. Eep.
I've been given a coxbox that will be "mine" for the duration of the champs. Exciting but terrifying - none of my clubs boats are wired, so I've only used one at the uni trainings. Thank goodness I added a baggage allowance. Especially because I might be able to get in to the after party as long as I don't drink. YAY
And holidays means I can actually go to Waite training more than three times a week and see my gorgeous family and actually get to know the new intake of novvies (awks coz I'm girls captain :P) so I am happy. Even if I'm totally broke. Boo not qualifying for a student allowance.
