I don't know if it's just me being extra dramatic as usual or if it's that I'm a Catholic convert and so I appreciate everything in Catholicism more than others, but I really dislike it when horror movies try to make nuns and churches really eerie and creepy. My mom (who's a Protestant) says she's afraid of nuns and refused to meet the sisters when she was at my parish. Lots of people say that nuns "creep them out," but nuns are simply people like you and me! So many films like to portray them as super spooky and ominous, and it just kind of makes me a little bit mad. Films also try to makes churches seem eerie, too. I don't know. These are just some thoughts I've had 🤷🏻♀️
