10. Groundhog or woodchuck To this day, no one knows how much wood one would chuck, if they could. Has an entire holiday devoted to bothering it for its opinions on the weather.

My chipmunk stamp! Quarter for scale. I carved this one last year.
Some photos from my walk today. It was wonderfully Spring like. Still a little frozen though.
Adorable chipmunk, stayed behind just long enough for me to get this.

Invaluable
Eastern Chipmunk (Tamias striatus), taken May 21, 2026, in Georgia, US
A pipsqueak of a chipmunk with an appearance reminiscent of a Q-tip scurrying around beneath the bird feeders, searching for dropped goodies! This chipmunk is one of this spring's babies, and it is ridiculously cute. Nothing should be allowed to be this small and pathetic looking—it's unethical. This animal gives me cuteness aggression, and it grows every time I look at these pictures again!!!
