THERE HAS BEEN A SERIES OF BOMBINGS HERE IN SRI LANKA TODAY.
Churches all around the island were attacked during the Easter Mass and Hotels around the capital were attacked as well. The number of deaths are over 100 now. Countless number of people were injured and hospitalized.
All my fellow Sri Lankans here and others who are on vacation in Sri Lanka please stay safe AND stay indoors! Avoid crowds! Please please please Stay alert!
Sri Lanka, death toll over 160
Multiple bombings across the country, 3 churches have been hit as well as 3 top hotels in the country, disrupting Easter mass and Easter celebrations at the hotels.
Over 160 have been confirmed dead, and around 300 injured.
Please pray for Sri Lanka and its people, this is a country which suffered for 30 years with a Civil War and the people cannot go through this again.
Update: Death toll rises to 190, with 2 more attacks in the past hour.
2nd update: Another attack, at the same place as the 8th one. Death count unknown.

I hate this. I hate this. I don't cry but I can't stop crying. Pls if there's a way you could help sri Lanka then pls help. Since today morning we've had 6 bombings across the island in 3 major churches, during mass, and 3 major hotels. 138 people have died and 402 are injured. There are little children who have lost families and parents who have lost little children and it's I have no words for it. It's a fucking nightmare. There's fake documents being spread around blaming each other to get us at each other's necks. I'm fucking terrified it's a going to start again. I'm fucking terrified it'll work and the whole country will start fighting again. It's been nearly 10years since something like this happened but watching the TV feels like de ja vu. Texting everyone I know and praying for answers feels like de ja vu. I can remember being 11 and being terrified to leave my house and being 11 and being terrified each time a family member left my house because I figured that's the end. And it's absolutely fucking horrible to think that a whole generation of kids could go through it again. And I'm ? How could anyone do this... I'm here ranting because I can't go on whatsapp and I can't stand to look at the news and I'm fucking angry and sad and terrified and pls dear god stay safe everyone, call your friends and family if they're over here. Make sure they're safe. Don't share any photos or videos of the attacks. No organisation was found responsible yet but this was a terrorist attack so pls pls don't go pointing fingers at cultures/religions don't go fighting each other cause that's what they want. Pls stay safe I know this doesn't help I know this doesn't make anything any better but fucking shit I'm praying
EDIT : I'm writing this here even though there's a longer version in the notes. There are so far 217 confirmed deaths throughout 8 bombings in Sri Lanka, 3 of which were in major churches during mass on Easter Sunday and 3 of which were in main hotels in Colombo. Around 7 suspects have been arrested. The deaths also include foreigners from UK, USA, China and other countries so I dunno I dunno what to say god I'm not the least bit religious and if I was religious I'd technically be Buddhist but I'm praying to every deity or power that be that you are able to get in touch with anyone you want to and that this is the end of it that I don't need to keep adding to this fucked up post
SRI LANKA, EASTER ATTACKS
If ya'll honestly think the Notre Dame Cathedral fire can be compared to the attacks in Sri Lanka, please take a break and go re-evaluate your life.
While it is upsetting that the iconic cathedral burnt, there were no casualties and millions of dollars was raised to restore it.
But, 8 explosions occured in less than 24 hours, 207 people have lost their lives, and around 600 people are injured. There is currently an island wide curfew. 3 whole churches have been burnt, destroyed and will need so thousands of dollars to repair. 3 five star hotels have been targeted too, and around 30 tourists have also lost their lives. And no one talks about it, and everyone who does just sends their prayers. We need more awarness and we need action.
It is obvious they were targeting Easter celebrations, and Easter mass. No one has taken responsibility for the attacks, and there are no proven leads as to who was behind this. This country will not be able to have a happy Easter many years to come.
This country suffered for 30 entire years with a civil war, which was also based on tension between religious groups. Let's prevent that from happening again, and fight for the innocent catholic people who have died.

3 more explosions have occurred in the past hour, and with the 6 in churches and hotels, a total of 9 attacks have occurred and 190 people have lost their lives, including 11 foreigners. The target seems to be to disrupt Easter mass and Easter celebrations.
Please pray for this country and that these attacks would stop.
The seventh bomb just went off in Sri Lanka in a hotel near what is probably the biggest zoo in the country and I fucking can't what the fuck what the fuck. Pls contact all your loved ones in Sri Lanka make sure they're safe. Help if there's anyway you can pls help. Don't share any pictures or videos about the attack. Only share information that has been confirmed by LOCAL SRI LANKAN NEWS because a lot of false/unconfirmed information is being spread around.
