It was some coincidence they were both there riding this thing out, but she was happy to have someone she could find comfort in at the gas station. "You want anything? Owen was finishing up in the sauna, heading into the locker room when he got a text message from his father that he was closing up the Wilson for the evening due to the winds that were starting to pick up. No one knew how long they'd last, leaving Abraham no choice but to get dressed and wander out to the bar area of the private country club. He spotted a familiar face, one that he didn't always see eye to eye with but, that was Owen for someone. "You plan on attempting to venture home or taking the wait and see approach?"

"I thought the storms in Georgia were crazy," Logan wasn't standing too close to the windows in the lodge. There was no rain with this storm, only wind, but it was baffling Logan nonetheless. She hadn't heard from Dean in a few hours since cell phone service started dropping, so she was left to her own devices at the lodge rentals where she had diverted to on her way to meet some friends. "But this," she gestured toward the window, watching as it looked like the tops of the trees could touch the ground, "this is insane."

The wait at the hospital was increasingly longer with the picking up winds, but Johnny did his best to continue to diffuse the situation between his daughter and his wife. Tensions were high and he knew that it could get worse before it got better. The apple did not fall far from the tree when it came to Zoe and Stevie.
To say that the evening had been rough, would be an understatement. Johnny was pacing alongside the bed, waiting for the opportunity to be checked out of the hospital. "How you doin', buddy?" He questioned Logan, just as the lights began to flicker. People's panics shook the floor that they were on and thirty seconds of darkness were the longest thirty seconds of his life. When the lights came back on, he turned to look back at Logan when his heart dropped into the pit of his stomach. People were scrambling all over the hospital and their son was no where to be seen. "Stevi-Stevie," he reached out to his wife, "Logan's gone."
EAST HAVEN'S 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY EVENT: THE WIND STORM
With the 1 year anniversary of East Haven's opening, we have decided to have an event that centers around a wind storm that is blowing it's way through town, inciting chaos where ever it goes. The event will start on January 5th at 12pm (noon) and end on January 15th at 12am (midnight). No new starters should be posted after January 10th.
You were placed into groups that are listed below. You will be expected to write with at least one character in that group that you normally do not write with. You are still free to do other threads with others in the group, but are required to at least one.
Participation for this event will be mandatory. Acceptances and checks will be held as usual. Reminder: Injuries need to be in by January 3rd*. You can find the form here. Details of this will be posted on the 5th.

Connor hadn't planned on being at the fire department, as he was on his way to meet Bobby at Animal House Shelter when winds picked up and Connor knew better than to risk driving. It wasn't the first time he had ever seen something like this come through East Haven, though it felt like a million years ago since the last wind storm. With his daughter in tow, people had slowly trickled into the fire department, including Penelope Ruiz. His daughter adored her, having had her hair cut by her for many years when Connor had her in East Haven for a few weeks in the summer. "How are you holding up?" He questioned Nel, smiling at his daughter as her hair was being brushed through by Nel. "I've got you a few snack options, first pick or keep 'em all." Connor offered, holding out a few protein bars that they kept at the station.

Nancy had forgotten how difficult it was to change a diaper in the dark, but she quickly remembered while trying to do it with her grandson in the woman's bathroom at the mall. She had a flashlight, but it was still a little hard, but in the end, she got it. She was walking out of the bathroom and trying to hold Link while also carrying to put something in the diaper bag when she walked into someone. "Oh, I'm so sorry." She said dropped the flashlight. "Shit. I mean shoot." She said and readjusted the baby in her arms as well as the diaper bag so she could try to pick up the flashlight.
