New music! Easy 3 - Interval EP

Please check out my new 7 track EP, titled 'Interval', out now on Mountain Interval Recordings.

Produced almost entirely in May 2025 ('Best Wishes' was produced in April 2024), the lofi beats type material on 'Interval' EP would fit comfortably alongside the tracks on my August 2020 album, 'Mellow Afternoonz' or among my more recent four singles, released between last October and February this year.

Sometimes reflective, occasionally funky, the tracks on 'Interval' incorporate a number of moods and styles, with a range of delicate organic and digital textures and ambient sounds woven among the beats, chords and basslines.

Similar to the material on 'Mellow Afternoonz' and my recent four singles, I played, programmed and recorded all the parts on 'Interval' EP and it contains no samples or sample pack loops. Instruments include acoustic and electric guitar, electric bass, Yamaha CP reface, Arturia Microfreak, Yamaha PSS 570, KORG ER-1, various drums, percussion, VST instruments, chimes and trumpet.

Day 149: 2/12/20

Intentions:

Wednesday! Am I going to study? Yup. Am I going to run? Yes sir. Am I going to have a great day at work? That’s in the positive column. Will some of this be done in snow? All signs point to yes. So let’s get this done!

Yesterday:

Yesterday was a good day. Work is starting to pick up from Chinese New Year. It’s not back to normal, in no small part to the coronavirus, but I’m hoping it will be soon. I also hope that the people who are getting sick will be ok, this one has been terrible from everything I’m hearing.

I did study yesterday. The exam questions I went over are a bit frustrating. When I have missed the answer I look and noticed I had narrowed it down to 2 possible answers and then just picked the wrong one. I’m going to need to be more focused for next exam. And I will be.

Good run last night. Went outside and got 3 miles. It wasn’t super cold and there was no snow so it was nice. I found myself saying “I only did 3 easy miles” yesterday and meant it. Which means I’m getting better. Because a couple of weeks ago 3 miles would have wrecked me. But now not so much. Progress is being made.

Alright that’s it from me. I think I like the minor change I’ve made to the blog. We’ll see how it goes for awhile. I hope everyone has a great day!
