I’m back home. It was mellow. Long lines but moved smoothly. The person letting folks into the voting place went to my high school, a few years before me. I spent some time chatting with folks as they waited to enter, but my primary task, in an effort to encourage “vote tripling,” was to thank people as they exited, request that they text three friends or family members to remind them to vote (always more meaningful than a robotext or message from a stranger), and offer them this sticker if they did so (I even gave one to a few who didn’t). At a time when it is easily to feel powerless in the face of so much uncertainty and naked greed, small-but-achievable actions like voting or spending a few hours trying to make voting as comfortable as possible for others, felt really good. #vote #vota @maketheroadpa #easydoesitbutdoit (at Brooklyn, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CHI09B0jm5H/?igshid=zakrp1om2vue
