Shrimp scampi is a classic seafood dish featuring succulent shrimp cooked in a flavorful garlic and butter sauce, with hints of white wine and lemon. It's quick and easy to prepare, making it perfect for a delicious weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients: 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1/4 cup butter. 1/4 cup olive oil. 1/4 cup white wine. 2 tablespoons lemon juice. 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes. Salt and pepper to taste. 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped. 8 oz linguine pasta, cooked according to package instructions.
Instructions: Mix butter and olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat. Add the red pepper flakes and minced garlic. Saut until the garlic smells good. Put the shrimp in the pan and cook for about two to three minutes on each side, until they are pink and opaque. Use white wine and lemon juice to clean out the pan, making sure to scrape up any browned bits on the bottom. Add pepper and salt to taste. You can add chopped parsley now. Put shrimp and sauce on top of linguine that has been cooked. If you want, you can add more parsley and lemon wedges as a garnish.
