Day-3 of My 100 Days Challenge.. Urban Landscape Value Study.... 🏡 I just purchased a new SketchBook from Menorah🖌️🎨 Initially I was sceptic if this SketchBook can hold watercolors properly as this book is only 180 GSM which is not much to handle heavy watercolor wash. But this sketch book stands more strong than it claims.. The paper hardly buckles and retain its shape properly after drying. Hello everyone! Welcome to 2021! Let’s start off this monthly challenge with all sorts of arts and crafts that I try out during the day. Today, I thought I’d try painting/doodling a potted plan, with baby leaves that have yet to sprout, to represent the budding year and what we hope will lead to good things. I was going to try a bigger plant, but I grabbed the wrong colours, so I had to rethink the concepts. Anyway, here you go! The first in the #januarycrafts series! Hello everyone! Today’s craft post is a watercolour flower I tried out using my @arteza.co.uk watercolour brush pens. Now there’s one thing that I love about these pens and that is the amount of colours I get is unbelievable! I don’t have to mix the colours together, to try and get the right shade! I already have them! I absolutely love these pens and I highly recommend them, if you want to do those detailed images. The only downside is if you’re covering a large area with your colours, you’ll need to use proper watercolour palettes for that, these pens only do smaller areas, and the water pen that comes with the set can only be used after you lay down the colour, otherwise you’ll have to brush the pen across your canvas a few times to get the ink going again. Anyway, this is my first time doing a doodle, and I know I still have a long way to go before I can actually paint a full scene, but I still have time, and if I keep practicing I know I’ll get there one day!
