Knowledge is power
Well my meals seem to be more and more vegetarian, infact so much so that i am toying with trying a vegan diet. Had some dried fruit earlier and my blood sugars hit the roof but at least ive learnt from that one. The thing that really surprises me is the lack of information that i have had from the medical profession. I mean apart from being diagnosed and told what a health meal plate looks like, i really have been left a lot in the dark most of what i know now comes from online sources. You really have to arm yourself with as much information as possible.
Good news is the scales have hit 13 stone 13, that means ive lost over 2 stone now and am overweight rather than obese. Also managing to jog for 25 mins on the tread mil on my couch to 5k program, to think i used to struggle to do 90 seconds not that long ago. I also check my bloods fairly regularly and find them in the acceptable range 4 to 7 and am learning to eat to my meter as they call it online.
