anthurium ft. @eaxnephele
her lap being occupied by a familiar head of hair isn’t entirely unfamiliar to rei, but it’s certainly something that she’s still adjusting to. nephele was no stranger to invading personal space--much to her surprise when she first encountered her--while she was the exact opposite, which leaves her awkwardly sitting on the bench and looking to passing strangers with slight boredom once she realizes nearly an hour has already gone by.
it’s times like these where she questions whether she’s too kind or stupid. she could easily move the other teen off of her but for one reason or another she decides not to. instead the third year glances over to the flowers behind them, arm stretching back to grab a handful before she makes the decision to at least entertain herself as much as possible while she’s stuck.
carefully she takes strands of blonde and starts braiding, carefully intertwining the flowers she picked from earlier and within the next ten minutes or so she’s blessed with the soft breath of nephele waking up. “hey,” casually her fingers keep working knowing that the other girl wouldn’t be sitting up anytime soon, “sleep well?”
