Link: But - we thought it would be funnier if the story was whenever you guys would play video games, you were always completely naked. Rhett: Right. Link: So, for this scene, you were playing Twisted Metal, in his dorm room, completely naked. Rhett: Yeah. Link: And of course we didn’t give a shit - you WE’RE completely naked. Rhett: *chuckling* No... no I wasn’t. Link: You think you - ? Did you yank up your briefs? Rhett: I yanked up my briefs. I love how in your memory I was completely naked. Link: I was - I know we wouldn’t have cared.

...that Rhett took the time to acknowledge that other people’s experiences may have been very different and that they’re aware of the not-so-great aspects of everything they talked about.

Ok it feels like it’s just me, but isn’t this whole episode info that we already knew? Maybe they’ve never come out and SAID they were evangelical, but it was very VERY obvious, was it not? And we knew about Campus Crusades, and there are people who were familiar with that area and talked about how the only people who were part of that were super evangelical. I have a feeling the next episodes will have more new info, and will maybe be more difficult to hear, especially considering Rhett’s comment about the two-part episode, it was clear they were supposed to be much further along in the story than they are right now. So I think the hype from last week will have more to do with the following episodes because they didn’t realise it would take so long to get to the post-engineering job era.

I absolutely LOVED the new Ear Biscuits and everything R&L talked about. It was fascinating hearing about it (even though it's only the first part). I'm really happy they decided to talk about their story in greater detail and I'm also really happy that they figured themselves out and had the courage to change according to what they believe in. It's not very easy to move on from something in which you were raised to believe in. But our boys did it, and I'm so proud of them!

I'm also looking forward to hearing them address LGBT+/congregation issues. So excited!

Religion was never a big thing in my life (I was brought up Evangelical Lutheran but it was more out-of-habit religiousness than actual belief and I left the church after I turned 18 as did the rest of my family.) and I don’t have any traumas related to it so listening to the new ep of EB was only fascinating to me. I do understand that is not the case for a lot of people, so I’d urge you to use caution if talking about religion is triggering to you. Most of today’s episode is about religion.

If you can’t listen, I just want to say that that’s totally valid and you shouldn’t feel bad about it. Also, it wasn’t anything earthshattering. I think we already knew most of what they talked about but maybe didn’t know the depth and meaning of their experiences. If you want to know specifics, my DMs and asks are open.

I’m very interested in hearing more about “their lost years” and I can’t wait for the next episode.
