Family: the Eberlein's // Kansas City, Kansas
There are a handful of friendships in life that help me believe in God's Love -- you might know the kind of friends I am talking about...that all you need is to look into their faces and know that you are Home.
I have not known Scott and Stephanie for long, but it truly doesn't take long for anyone to know that they live compelling stories. In fact, I am having trouble composing this post just trying to decide what to include :) I met them through a dear friend from high school during my time last summer in Kansas City and got to hang out and share a meal together. It was good, in every sense of that word, to spend time getting to know Luke and the Eberleins, and hear about their heart and passion for their community!
Only six months in and she is so tall and sitting so well!
She has the most attentive personality...and has the ability to stare into your soul. Not in a threatening way, but in a melts-your-heart-to-drips-of-sunshine kind of way. Ughh--the power that babies wield over us!
This third picture in the collage below is for Luke :) He saw it at awkward family photos and wanted to replicate it. Hilarious.
Karis loves to sit and talk and make endearingly funny noises with her tongue, and then giggle at them. Like I said earlier, I melt into a messy puddle.
Taking daddy's glasses, hanging out with mommy...
Stephanie did a great job decorating the room, making her own art pieces and adding elements of gifts from friends and family.
We went outside for some porch shots...I love the colorful cloth diapers hanging out to dry :)
The Eberlein's are huge dog people, so Scott insisted we get Gracie in the family pictures as well :)
The porch is so gorgeous - I like these wide shots because they convey well just how adventurous this family is :)
After the shoot, while Steph was making dinner, Karis was happy playing with her rattler...and the communion cup :)
To close, a collage of some quiet, joy-filled moments from our afternoon together. :)
