Ebiko
Ikuradon is the belly of Nekojima. People pray at the shrine and they swim and fish in the ocean, but they eat and drink and live at Ikuradon. The Utagawa's have always been so proud of it. Kotami was so proud. She was so proud of catching the best fish and supporting her husband. She loved drinking with the old fishermen and spoiling the cats. Now that she's gone, the place only feels half-alive. Yoshiku moves around like a ghost. Miko acts cheerful and sobs into her pillow when she thinks no one can hear her. Toshi tries her best but she's got a little boy to look after and an ex she won't even talk about, and anyway, she loved Kotami too. It's just not working anymore. Tears aren't much of a sushi topping.
Okay. But what if Dimple was actually some god?? Or an angel (Because that’s so hilarious. Imagine. Dimple as an angel.) What if he did something that was Forbidden, and as punishment, got cast down to earth as an evil spirit with his memories mostly erased.
It would work so well with canon, but also—I have many (mostly) ridiculous, cracky ideas spooned from this. Just. It’s so Good.

There was something not right with my Tanuki Kaisen Chirashi. Uni, tuna, negi toro, salmon sashimi, aburi salmon belly, scallop, sea bream, swordfish, white tuna, yellow tail, ikura, tamago and ebiko over mixed rice. But hey, where was the rice? Instead, I got served someone's bowl with Hearty Salad 🥗 base. *Psst! The rabbit is sitting opposite me.* Salad aside, this was such a colourful bowl of seafood which tasted every bit as fresh as it looks. But eating grass, I meant veggies was not going fill me up, so we were planning to grab some snacks later.
We ended our lunch with a couple of cold drinks. Bunny had her Ginger Lemonade, while I chose Iced Honey Lemon 🍯🍋 and they even used Manuka honey for my lemon tea!
