Do you feel like Marlon is a straight up antagonist or a just a scared kid? I like how there's a grey area with him.

I think he’s a little of both. He was forced into a horrible situation as a young child, and did the best he could, but ultimately the pressure of leadership caused him to make a series of really bad choices. This world is unfair, and Marlon is another person that failed to cope with it.

How do you feel about James?

I really like him a lot! I wasn’t too surprised by his personality, he basically acted like I expected, but he was kinder than I was thought he would be. I expected him to be shyer.

If there are multiple endings to The Final Season, I think it would be interesting to try to convince him to stay with the group of kids, or have Clementine stay with him if she decides she doesn’t want to stay with the boarding school kids anymore. One of the things Lee can tell Clem is to always keep moving, and using walkers as a cover doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
