I haven't seen it officially confirmed, but fairly connected people are saying the Seattle area EBUG was picked up and put in gear during the game. This is the last year before the big changes to EBUGs and while I will miss the whimsy of 'random plumber is suddenly in the NHL for the night with no warning', the changes are good.
I just really hope that if the EBUG was there, that he will post about getting scooped up and what it was like. And, is there someone whose job it is to track potential EBUGs? Considering how hardcore equipment managers are about shaving seconds off of stick replacements during a game, I'd be shocked if they didn't have someone keeping tabs. I want to know everything about this!
