Where is Shadow of Israphel?

It has been a while since a new episode of the Yogscast's famous Shadow of Israphel series was uploaded. One full year to be exact. And even then, the last episode of Shadow of Israphel was a bit of a disappointment. Very little progress into the storyline was made and most of the time spent in the video involved Simon and Lewis joking and standing around.

So, just what has happened to the once wildly popular minecraft series? The last time fans asked this question there was a bit of a tiff in the fandom among those who just wanted to know when new episodes were coming out and those who thought the ones asking were being annoying and putting pressure on the yogscast.

The most popular rumor seems to be that the yogscast either lost the old world save and now have to rebuilt the entire map or they are waiting for modpacks to be updated.

In February 2013, Hannah posted to the official yogscast forum that the reason for the long wait is due to commissioned art.

Gopoke is correct, in reality the guys are waiting on a few commissioned things from external artists. We have actually told people this who have asked, so not exactly sure for the reason for this thread since it promotes pestering mod makers.

Nothing to do with out of date mods, we run SoI off the Voxel Box so it's pretty well run from that point of view. However, what we have in mind can't be rushed, and will be done when it's done.
