The writers only saved echo just so that she would be with bellamy up in space. Idk why you don't see that.

Echo kom Azgeda, the warrior, spy, royal guard, and commander of the Azgedan army, did not save Bellamy and Clarke’s lives, make it to Becca’s lab, survive her own suicidal motives, and fight to breathe once they were up in the ring just to become someone’s goddamn love interest.
