so we know capitol citizens can vacation in old HG arenas and do reenactments. that implies there is a large fandom that is willing to pay for experiences like that.

so here is my query

who wrote more everlark fanfiction: us or the capitol fangirls?

So obvious answer is us since we've had more time. But let's throw that away for a moment.

The more exciting thing to consider is that it was probably us because their media and communications were so much more limited and controlled. They probably had more in common with Spirk shippers trading zines than us posting to ao3.

But now I have so many follow up questions about fandom in the capitol like:

Was OC shipping the norm because of there only being one living tribute until everlark?

Was a "made for tv" movie in the works for everlark? Did these exist for past tributes?

Was Snow aware of the fanfic? Maybe he was if certain people wanted to buy Victors to reenact fic. But if he was, did he have a secret stash of Lucy Gray fanfic?

headcannon: snow runs their version of ao3 anonymously as a scheme to learn secret desires of capitol citizens. and maybe if the fandom writes fast enough, it could help influence who he tries to rig to be the winner based on the content that is least threatening to him

so can we go ahead and assume the victory tour stop at the capitol was essentially their cons? the stylists mentors and surviving tribute gets to do weird photo ops and be shown sexy fanart of themselves in a coffee shop au?
