Trick or Treat?
A/n: Hello! I wrote another Battle!Ego fic!. This one is pretty short and it's for @graveyard-melodies ! I used her super cute and sweet Echo character for this cute prompt! I hope you enjoy it!
Prompt: “Boo! Person A is pretending to be a ghost by covering them self in a sheet in order to scare Person B.”
Getting home from work, you walked into your apartment you shared with your boyfriend of two years. You noticed it was too quiet while you were taking off your heels. Usually, Echo would greet you with a tight hug and a kiss to your cheek when you got home. Looking around the living room you called out to him. “Echo? Sweetheart I’m home! Where are you?” You waited a second for a response but only silence filled your ears.
Looking towards the hallway you saw a trail of bite-sized candy leading to your bedroom. You couldn't help but let a giggle slip out. Echo was always doing things like this but he usually used your favorite flowers or small notes. Candy was something new but since it was near Halloween and your childlike boyfriend getting excited to actually celebrate it again it made sense. Carefully picking up each candy you put them onto your free arm. Getting closer to the closet in the hallway you saw a note that read “Collect all the candies for a surprise cutie ;)’ Your smile widened at the thought of Echo doing something ridiculous when you finish gathering all the sweets.
Picking up the few remaining candies you opened the door to your bedroom and dumped them all onto the bed and picking up the note that was placed on the bed. You opened it and read it out loud. “Trick or Treat?” Not long after reading the phrase you saw a shadow hovering over you. Turning around you jumped and let out a surprised scream seeing the sheet covered figure behind you. Echo lifted the sheet from himself and smiled proudly at the fact he was able to scare you with something so simple. “Boo! Awe honey did I scare you that bad?” He chuckled and wrapped his arms around your pouting form pulling you closer to him.
Resting your chin on his chest so you could look up at him still pouting a bit “You just surprised me that's all I wasn't scared” Taking a hold of your face he leaned down and gave you a sweet kiss smiling as he pulled away. “How about I make it up to you baby? How does a Halloween movie marathon, with all this candy and some hot chocolate sound?” Leaning up to press a kiss to his cheek you smiled excitedly at him “Sounds perfect!”
