When I realized that I made it through a some caves. Almost an hour under ground. It felt like I was in a basement the whole time though. It smells tad musky too. Boababs and Echoes
Today we head off on another road trip to check out the things we missed on Monday. When we were at Huntsman we saw a map with a lot of places we'd never been to so first on the list was the baobab tree. As it's on the road to the Kruger Park I figured it's the same one we stopped at on the way to Mickey & Tash's wedding. After driving for 150km we figured it wasn't. As you couldn't use google maps we asked for directions at a farm and the guy said that tree was still another 120km. The one we were headed for was the remains of a baobab :/ After cutting out losses we made a u turn and went to Echo Caves. It's a cave that the Pedi used to hang out in when they hid from the Tsonga. A lot of the stalactites were broken off as they used to use them for spears. If you hit the stalactites they are hollow and it reverberates through the cave and echos - that's where the cave gets its name from.
