New Plans

This was supposed to be just a nice friendly visit with his sister while she was on her trip to see how she was enjoying herself and how her training was progressing. Unfortunately for Lapis, these plans fell apart in two ways. First, Lazuli wound up being dragged off by her tour group to see the CCT for the day. Second, Catalina Darling had discovered this and decided that this would be the perfect time to “surprise” Lapis with an amendment to his outing. Said amendment was apparently a self-proclaimed date.

To make things just an extra bit awkward, he didn’t want to just leave and not eat the food he had ordered not to mention the meal he had promised his sister. Now she was sitting across from him as if this had been the plan all along. “You’re lucky Cheshire decided to cover the food, you know.” He says, reluctantly sliding the menu over. He wasn’t going to just bark at her to leave in the middle of the cafe. “Why bother with this anyway? It’s not like my sister having to bail on our plans is going to ruin my day.”

I want to give a shoutout to @echoesofblck because the mun is super sweet and no matter the blog, their character ideas and stories are so well crafted that they just make you swoon with how good they are.

The Lavender manor had a security system in place though Nava believed it was outdated, while her parents insisted on it being perfectly fine considering any possible break ins had been stopped. So while they were away on business she decided to take it upon herself to find a better security system. She had given Cinnamon and Slate the task of finding someone to test the security system and how to make a better system.

"So this man, he has experience." Nava question as she walked next to Cinnamon on their way to the meeting room Slate had set the men up in.

"Yes, he's an Atlas graduate and has experience in a range of fields. If anything this will atleast be a good starting point." The mouse Faunus explained with a nod giving a soft smile the the brunette.

Nava gave a small hum in acknowledgment as they continued down the hall, before stopping in front of a pair of intricate double doors. Cinnamon opened the door and Nava stepped in.

"I apologize for the wait, I assume that Slate made you comfortable." She gave a polite smile, Slate had set up an array of pastries, tea, and coffee since they were unsure of the guests taste.

“I’ll let you decide.”

“I mean yeah.”

“That’d be a big no.”

“Of course.”

“You just had to ask that didn’t you?”

“ESMERAAAAAY!”

The girl bounces up to her almost excitedly.

“Lets make fruit salads and tomato salsa and give it to our friends! I have SO MUCH fruit and veggies from the garden!!”

“Speaking of people we don’t know.... Who are those hot chicks over there and why isn’t anyone being my wingman right now?”

“Who? Where?”

“...Not interested.”

Lazuli swung, twirled and dodged the incoming Grimm as they charged her. Despite not being alone, she wasn’t getting much in the way of honest backup. When Amrin said she wanted her to get some practice out in the field she certainly wasn’t exaggerating. She sidestepped a charging Saber and twirled her weapon in a practiced swing toward the legs, staggering it before she readied her polearm to thrust down into the beast’s underbelly. She yanked back and caught a second with the blade on the other end before ducking a third and yanking the blade out. She swapped Winterfang into its rifle form to fire on it. She felt ready, but she knew she was started to get pretty winded at a minimum.

“Could you have chosen an easier mission maybe? I don’t know how many more I can take...”

“Hey, Cat! I want you to meet a friend of mine.”

Sapir gently waves with a hesitant but friendly waggle of her fingers.

“Cat, this is Sapir. Sap, this is Catalina, my friend and co-host!”

This quickly shifts to a look of confusion and slight concern.
