The Musgrave Treasure (1912)
Director: Georges Tréville Released: 1912 Watched: May 2026
A French/English silent film staged under supervision by Conan Doyle, this is one of eight produced by Éclair between 1912 and 1913.
The story is pared back out of necessity, being a silent film with a run time of about 18 minutes, but it is still a delightful watch.
You can find it online, having been reworked by The Video Cellar in 2018 to include new intertitles, tinting, editing, and musical arrangements.
