"See the Turtle of Enormous Girth. On His Shell He holds the Earth." *Many Cultures around the world have a World Turtle mythology. This is my interpretation. *This World Turtle has a copper body with gold highlights. His shell has a mountain scene complete with trees, a house, a pond, a tiny boat, and even teeny tiny wild flowers. *This piece is entirely hand sculpted from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature. I hand painted him with shimmery and regular acrylics. I sealed the whole thing with satin gloss. *He is 5 inches across from head to toe, 5 inches wide from arm to arm, and just about 2 inches tall at the tip of the mountain. *This was extremely difficult to photograph.
