Hi! I haven't been on Tumblr for a long time and I've never posted on DCA yet, but I'd be very happy to share my new AU. I warn you in advance that English is not my native language and there may be errors in the text. And I don't really follow DCA, so I don't know if there might be similar designs or au.
This is an AU where y/n are former fisherman, and who did not quite voluntarily work with poachers. At some point, two very tiny siren babies came across in their network, and y/n, knowing that the cubs would be killed, decided to escape and take them with them. After that, y/n started living near the seashore, caring for and raising two babies, whom they named Sun and Moon. But they didn't know that sirens are very vindictive creatures when it comes to their family... Therefore, y/n had to face the fact that a wild and aggressive male siren decided to return his cubs to himself. It was Eclipse.
A little bit about this au.
Sun and Moon are still quite small in size in this au, as they are still very young, being subadult (I don't know what to call it in English). They perceive y/n as their mother, since they were with them back when Sun and Moon were less than a month old.
When they got into the net, they damaged their fins. This does not change Sunny, but Moon is worse and swims slower because of this, so he prefers to stay in place. Their size is about 8 feet. And they defend y/n quite aggressively from strangers because they think they are a siren too, they just can't swim because of the "broken tail" that they mistake for legs.
Eclipse is a little bigger than his sons, as he is already over thirty years old, and they are only two years old. It size about 15 feet.
The sirens in this au are quite caring parents, and Eclipse lost his mate, so Sun and Moon are his only family left. He has been tracking y/n for quite a long time and intends to return his cubs to himself, because he considers any humans a threat and really hates them. So should be careful when the fish in the water suddenly disappears and a big shadow appears there!

Well, I'd be happy to tell you a little bit about this AU and answer any questions if there are any! Just a few facts, as I'm still working on the plot
Sirens are quite social creatures, and like many birds, they learn from their parents from an early age how to communicate with their relatives. But since Sun and Moon grew up isolated from other sirens, they are not able to communicate with them in a way that they understand well enough. Therefore, they cannot understand Eclipse's intentions because they do not understand him. Is this bad guy trying to hurt our mom? He's scary!
Sun is afraid of fishing nets and always hides when she sees it. Although Moon had more serious injuries from the nets, Sun was scared by how badly his brother was injured.
Sirens in this au are monogamous and stay with their mate for life. If their partner dies, then the care of the cubs falls on the one who remains alive. Eclipse had a hard time because he was the only one left who could protect his cubs. But he lost them because of his carelessness.. And now he is ready to do anything to find them, because he remembered y/n's face when they pulled the net out of the water
