Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse in Cancer Reading:
What is coming to fruition this full moon:
Things are speeding up, moving forward
Energy of charging ahead
Arguments, fighting words/actions
Impulsivity, rashness
What to release:
Over-identification with status and the material world
Looking to authority figures for the answers (rather than within)
Mother/father wounds and issues
Things feel like they’re speeding up and moving swiftly ahead under the beams of this intense full moon and lunar eclipse. With the Knight of Swords appearing, we may need to watch out for combativeness. Many are feeling compelled to fight for what they believe in right now. But it’s important to remember the overall message of the larger moon cycle we’re currently in: The Hermit reminds us to reflect before we speak/act. Don’t be hasty. Then, if action is required, it will come from a place of calm clarity -- and it will be much more effective.
I found it interesting that this knight appeared alongside two cards of royalty/power; this makes me think of world leaders sending their soldiers out to fight their battles. I don’t think that’s any coincidence, given the events occurring in our world right now.
Even in the midst of what may feel like madness, The Hermit reminds us it’s all the more important to take time out to retreat, go within, and connect with our inner stillness. We are asked to release our identification with the material world and to look within for guidance and our sense of stability -- not to the outside world (worldly circumstances, possessions, status, money, the superficial, etc.) or to other people (authority figures, people we place on pedestals, etc.)
The Capricorn-Cancer axis is being highlighted strongly now as well; our need to tend to the outer world and our responsibilities needs to be balanced with our need to nurture our inner world and take care of ourselves. Also going back to the message of the larger moon cycle we’re in (6 of Cups), I am getting the sense that there are gifts for us to “open” right now. It’s time to drop the weight of our past so that we can receive these new blessings.
