New Science has to be invested in, forceful fossil fuel interruption will not work. *** Abstract: “Two degrees is too much” was clear 13 years ago… The Paris Accord pretended to address the problem with self-discipline and a little redistribution of wealth.…

Urgency
I used to learn for joy For betterment Growth mindset Who thought what? I had to know Cos I had All the time in the world The question is now How much time is that?
I envy Twentieth century communists Struggling for struggles sake Martyred at times for all of time So they thought And so they fought
But for us We know to save we must be sudden We can't 'settle down, think a lot, Think of everything we've got' Our dreams might still be here tomorrow But the giraffe will not
But then we're told To be an honest catastrophist Is to be bitter, ableist We must save Civ to save each other But when civ is intent On self consumption/destruction What choice do we have?
So now I learn out of desperation Nineteenth century critical thinkers Distract from twenty first anxious heart wrenchers But no theory can quite touch The niggling doubt That only by murdering my hope for the future Laying it alongside the not yet corpse of suicidal economics Can I stand to talk of the day to day Without a sense of urgent ticks Of climate clocks This epoch stranded in distraction
So as I do my study in The thought that brought revolutions I want to be honest, have time To learn every side Support every honest luchador for justice But Who wants to learn the other's perspectives From experience And history When those histories, especially the most recent Learnt nothing at all Of the need to act to save us all.
what are your plans for this week
Given that the world is ending?
The technologies that are most valuable in solving ecological crises are biological, like Findhorn Ecovillage in Scotland's 'Living Machine', a sewage treatment system, which is now used by a town of 500,000. It has developed to the point where they are even treating the things we don't know what to do with, like estrogens.
