Okay, so Tumblrites love to dunk on Dungeons and Dragons as the game that's only great to play if you homebrew the fuck out of the rules, but still sucks because WOTC are monopolising the RPG market when other games exist that would work better for what players are looking for.

So enlighten me, RPG nerds of Tumblr, what RPGs would be better? For a similar vibe questing-and-adventuring western-high-fantasy sorta game, what would be better?
