murray bookchin is on point with social ecology and his ecological theories more generally if you ask me! his book on the ecology of freedom and the emergence and dissolution of hierarchy is probably the best book of theory i've ever read. i would highly recommend this book!!! reading it has made so many things click into place for me. it's a level of clarity i have never had before on so many situations. he also actually seems to understand hegel which is nice to see considering how widely misunderstood hegel is by 99% of philosophers from the past century or whatever. Anyways, this stuff is more relevant now than ever with all the ai nonsense going on. but what really sets it apart is it's not just critique, there's a way forward
