Everyone is entitled to choose which #identity they exalt over others. Personally I think it is foolish to exalt a minority identity over a majority, like saying you are #Igbo first before you are a #Nigerian, or that you are #African first before you are a #Human???!!! Like seriously? From top to bottom, I am a 1. Human 2. Believer 3. Woman 4. African (Black) 5. Nigerian 6. Urhogbo 7. Emerhor It is in this order that I choose to defend and fight for my #rights. I believe #sexism is a greater #evil than #racism because not only does it #discrimate against MORE than half of the world's population (women are more than men) it has been going on for longer and is deeply entrenched in our #cultural, #religious, #ecomonic, #social and #political discourse. So, as much as I appreciate and support the #BlackRights #movement, I think #WomensRights trumps it. And, as long as I believe in #JesusChrist, I will always be a #Believer before identifying as #Feminist or #Black. In #Christ, all these other differences shouldn't matter, as Paul attested to, but in the world they do. Few people see you as HUMAN first and foremost, which is very sad. When we can't agree on our religious #beliefs, the least we can do is agree on and RESPECT what #unites us, our #humanity. God bless you with #GraceandTruth
